TV SERIES...
TANGLE Digital Pictures has signed on for Tangle; a 10-part mini series being produced for Showtime. Detailing the intertwining tangle of life between teenagers and their parents, the story demonstrates heavy issues including politics, religion and revenge in a world where the moral compass of modern life is constantly shifting.
Producing this new Australian drama is John Edwards (Love My Way, Secret Life of Us, Dangerous) and Imogen Banks (Dangerous). It will be directed by Jessica Hobbs (Love My Way, Curtin, Answered by Fire), Matthew Saville (The King, Noise, The Surgeon) and Stuart McDonald (The Secret Life of Us, Summer Heights High, SeaChange) and was written by Fiona Seres (Love My Way, Dangerous, The Surgeon) and Tony McNamara (Love My Way, The Secret Life of Us).
Filming commences in Melbourne in early September and Digital Pictures will complete the daily S16mm rushes transfers to HD as well as HD online in Avid DS, HD grade in Reality, and HD mastering and deliverables.
VERY SMALL BUSINESS Is a six-part mini-series following the life of a small businessman facing the liquidation of his one-man publishing empire. Digital Pictures has completed the HD online in Final Cut Pro, HD Grade in Reality & HD Mastering and Deliveries.

DIRT GAME is a great new 6-part series for the ABC produced by David Taft and Michael Harvey. The series delves into the Australian mining industry as it tells the story of the industrys men and women from the faction-torn board, to the workers at the hazardous ore face striving to save a proud, if crippled Australian firm.
Helping bring Dirt Game to life are two of Australias leading directors, Brendan Maher (Spooks, Silent Witness, The Society Murders, MDA) and Grant Brown (Underbelly, McLeods Daughters, Blue Heelers).
Digital Pictures will work on the daily rushes transfers for offline viewing, conform, mastering in Smoke and deliverables. Our new colourist, Brett Manson will perform the grade in our Lustre suite.
CITY HOMICIDE SERIES 2 Following a successful 14 part first series, we are completing a further 22 x 60mins for Channel 7. UNDERBELLY 13 x 60min TV series for Channel 9 Synopsis: Underbelly uses the framework of the murderous war between the two gangs, and the bigger moral war between the gangs. LOVE THE BEAST Eric Bana has cast himself in this, his ultimate role. Banas directorial debut explores the importance of his 25-year-long love affair with his first car a Ford XB Falcon Coupe THE BEAST. Obsessed with cars and racing since he was a child, Eric takes us on a journey that spans a lifetime and culminates in the Beasts untimely death in one of the worlds most dangerous races, the Targa Tasmania.
With guidance from three life-long friends as well as other self-confessed petrol heads Jay Leno, Jeremy Clarkson and Dr Phil, Eric examines the significance of the bond that is formed around a common passion.

BALIBO Starring Anthony LaPaglia (Without A Trace), this powerful true-to-life political thriller, tells the story of the Indonesian invasion of East Timor in 1975. Directed by Robert Connolly, the film will be shot in Darwin, Australia and East Timor.
Balibo will see LaPaglia as Australian television journalist Roger East, who attempts to discover the fate of five missing Australian, British and New Zealand journalists (from Australias Channel Seven and Channel Nine), who disappeared from the border village of Balibo some weeks previously.

SAVED is the story of a married woman who saves a young Iranian refugee from detention, only to fall passionately in love with him. It will be directed by Tony Ayers and produced by Michael McMahon.
Shooting on the Genesis Camera from August 25 to September 19. Digital Pictures will be digitising the Daily Rushes, HD Online in Final Cut Pro, HD Grade in Reality & HD Mastering and Deliveries.
INTANGIBLE ASSET NUMBER 82 tells the story of a respected jazz drummer and his search for an elusive South Korean shaman and grandmaster musician. The journey becomes a rite of passage as he meets engaging and exotic characters, and overcomes cultural obstacles and the march of time to eventually meet the master only days before his death.
Our work on the documentary includes online editing and mastering using Final Cut Pro by Chris Dea with the grading performed by Amanda Short. The piece was post-produced by Carol Johnston.
DYING BREED Dying Breed stars Leigh Whannell, (Co-creator/writer & actor Saw 1, producer, co-writer Saw 2 & 3) and Nathan Phillips, (Snakes on a Plane, Wolf Creek) and introduces newcomers Melanie Valejo and Mirrah Foulkes in the lead roles. Directed by Jody Dwyer (Twisted Tales) and written by Rod Morris and Michael Boughen, the film's post production was completed in June with Omnilab Media's The LaB Sydney handling the VFX, Digital Pictures looking after the DI and the edit being done at Cornerpost. The film is due for release late in 2008.
